Martin Andersson is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor at the Department of Economic History, Lund University, and Assistant coordinator for the LU Profile Area: Human rights. His research focuses on the Growth-inequality-poverty triangle, Agricultural transformation, and resilience to economic shrinking, with regional expertise in East/Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
His scholarly work explores institutional/evolutionary perspectives on growth processes, regional inequality in Taiwan, and sustainable development. The 2024 article Transformation and resilience in times of change in Technological Forecasting and Social Change synthesizes historical contexts with innovation studies. The 2024 article Inequality, poverty, and resilience to economic shrinking in International Journal of Development Issues addresses poverty dynamics and social capabilities in developing countries.
