Martin A. Brooke is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California (1988) and previously served as Assistant/Associate Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology (1988-2003). His research focuses on analog circuits, optoelectronics, sensor systems, and biomedical engineering applications. He has published over 160 papers and holds 8 patents.
Education:
- B.E. (1st Class Hons) in Electrical Engineering, Auckland University (1981)
- M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, University of Southern California (1984, 1988)
Research Interests: Development of deployable sensor systems, optoelectronic circuits, and biomedical imaging devices. Notable projects include ocean pH sensors and breast tumor margin assessment systems. His work bridges microelectronics, photonics, and biomedical applications.
