Martha S. Feldman

Martha S. Feldman is the Johnson Chair for Civic Governance and Public Management at the University of California, Irvine. She holds a MA and PhD from Stanford University. Her research focuses on organizations, organizational routines, and management practices that enhance community and democratic participation.

Major achievements include four scholarly books (one begun during her UW undergraduate years) and over 100 articles/chapters. Awards include the 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award and Fellow status in the Academy of Management. She has received honorary doctorates from St. Gallen School of Management and Hanken School of Economics.
