Marte Charlotte Dobbertin Gram

Marte Charlotte Dobbertin Gram is a PhD Research Fellow at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences (NIH), Department of Sports Medicine. She combines academic research with clinical practice as a physiotherapist for the Norwegian Gymnastics Federation’s national rhythmic gymnastics team.

• Clinical Role: Physiotherapist for Norwegian rhythmic gymnastics national team

Research Focus: Injury prevention and women’s health in aesthetic sports (rhythmic gymnastics, ballet, dance), with emphasis on urinary incontinence, musculoskeletal disorders, and risk factors. Her work includes cluster-randomized trials and epidemiological studies.

Recent Publications address pelvic floor health, injury prevention programs, menstrual cycle communication, and preseason injury patterns in elite female athletes.

Teaching: Covers topics such as musculoskeletal disorders, flexibility training, and data handling in sensitive contexts for the Bachelor’s program in Exercise, Health, and Performance.
