Marta Roman Geada serves as a Research Fellow at the University of Vigo's Faculty of Marine Sciences within the Department of Ecology and Animal Biology. She conducts research at the Marine Research Center of the University of Vigo as an active member of the EZ1 Ecology and Zoology research group.
Dr. Roman Geada earned her PhD from the University of Vigo in 2018 with a dissertation titled "Integrated assessment of anthropization processes in estuary ecosystems: changes in land use and matter inputs," supervised by Dr. Gonzalo Méndez Martínez and Dr. Emilio Fernández Suárez.
Her research spans critical ecological domains:
- Estuary Ecosystem Dynamics
- Human-Induced Environmental Changes (Anthropization)
- Coastal Land Use Transitions
- Matter Flux Analysis in Marine Systems
- Zoological Adaptations in Anthropogenically Altered Habitats
- Animal Biology in Estuarine Contexts
As part of the EZ1 research group, she contributes to interdisciplinary marine ecology projects at the university's dedicated Marine Research Center, focusing on anthropogenic impacts in coastal ecosystems.
