Marta Minetti

Marta Minetti is Lecturer in Law at Goldsmiths, University of London, specializing in the intersection of immigration control and criminal justice systems. Her doctoral research analyzed legislative responses to irregular migration and humanitarian assistance in Italy, examining relationships between populist rhetoric, institutional practices, and rule of law principles.

She investigates how anti-smuggling frameworks are weaponized against migration, particularly through Italy's implementation of the EU Facilitators Package, and explores tensions between human rights obligations and security-oriented migration governance. Her scholarship contributes to the None in Three Centre for Global GBV Prevention and Goldsmiths' Refugee Law Clinic.
