Marta Cuatrecasas is a Researcher and Promoter of Technology at the inLab FIB, part of the School of Informatics (FIB) at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). She holds a Computer Science degree from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1995) and an e-Business postgraduate degree from Fundació Politècnica de Catalunya (2001). Since 1998, she has led the Projects and Technology Promotion Area at inLab FIB, directing over 20 projects for UPC and external entities. Her expertise includes project management, Agile Methodologies, and ISO 9001 compliance.
Key responsibilities include managing inLab FIB’s Quality Management System, developing Marketing Plans, and securing Tecnio accreditation. She actively promotes technological collaboration with industry via conferences and project outreach. Notable projects include the Blockchain Voting System, eBRT2030 (sustainable urban transport), and UPC Roses (AI-generated art for Sant Jordi). She also oversees student final projects in computational systems, web development, and data analysis.
Marta collaborates on healthcare shift-allocation algorithms, SQL integrity tools (TINTIN), and social media analytics for Seidor. Her work spans transport logistics, educational tech (e.g., sportALERT safety app), and accessibility solutions (EsclaTIC for disabled users). She has mentored 6 final-year students in advanced technical projects since 2015.
