Marta Agosti Pinilla

Dr. Marta Agosti Pinilla is a Research Associate in the Department of Anthropology and Sociology at SOAS University of London, while currently serving as Specialist on Protection from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation for the UN mission in Palestinian territories.

Her research examines gender, body politics, and citizenship, particularly concerning sexual violence during political upheavals. Fieldwork includes extensive work across the Middle East and North Africa region since 2005.

Publications analyze women's political participation in conflict zones, healthcare responses to sexual violence, and nationality laws in refugee contexts. Recent work investigates bodily politics in protest movements and gender dynamics in post-conflict Iraq.
