Marshal Mandelkern, MD, PhD, is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. He holds dual doctorates from Yale University (MD 1982, PhD 1980) and has contributed to both clinical psychiatry and molecular biology research. Formerly Chair of Psychiatry at the Hospital of Saint Raphael (2009-2012), he led integration of psychiatric services post-acquisition by Yale New Haven Hospital. Currently serves as Director of the Yale Long Term Care Clinic and Medical Director at Large at Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital. His clinical focus includes treatment-resistant mood disorders and intensive outpatient programs. Recognized nationally for teaching excellence with awards from the American Psychiatric Association (Irma Bland & Roeske Awards).
