Marnie Halpern

Marnie Halpern is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Molecular and Systems Biology at the Geisel School of Medicine, Dartmouth College. She holds the Andrew Thomson, Jr., MD 1946 Professorship and leads the Halpern Lab.

The Halpern Lab investigates left-right brain asymmetries in vertebrates using zebrafish as a model system. Their research employs genetic, genomic, transgenic, and optogenetic approaches to map and manipulate neural circuits, aiming to uncover their functional roles in behavior and development.
