Marni Slavik

Marni Slavik, Ph.D., is a Faculty Scientist at the University of Vermont (UVM) in the Larner College of Medicine and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She serves as the CALS Biological Sciences Director and MMG Undergraduate Advisor. Her research focuses on enteric infections and vaccine development, with expertise in Cell and Molecular Biology and Genetics.

Dr. Slavik joined UVM in 2022 after postdoctoral work at UVM on Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans invasion mechanisms and prior roles at the UVM Bioinformatics Shared Resource. She teaches courses like MMG 3010: Applied Cell and Molecular Biology and BCOR 2300: Genetics. Her publications include studies on Wnt signaling in keratinocytes, cancer therapy synergies, and HDAC inhibitors in neuroblastoma.
