Marlen Heide

Marlen Heide is a Lecturer and post-doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society, University of Italian Switzerland (USI), affiliated with the Institute of Communication and Public Policy (ICPP) and the Public Integrity Research Group (GRIP). Her work bridges academic research with international consultancy in anti-corruption, collaborating with entities like the European Commission LRRC Network and the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs.

• Research Focus: Transparency studies, security and defense policy, anti-corruption frameworks, civic participation, and public administration integrity mechanisms.
• Prior Roles: Worked at Transparency International Secretariat, German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and consulted for the German Armed Forces.
• Education: MA in War Studies from King's College London; studied at Erfurt University and Boğaziçi University, Istanbul.
