Markus Reihlen

Prof. Dr. Markus Reihlen is a Professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, serving as Vice President for Entrepreneurship, Transfer, and Internationalization. He holds leadership roles in multiple research centers including the Yunus Centre for Social Business and Values and the Research Center for Digital Transformation. His academic journey includes a doctorate (1996) and post-doctoral qualification (2007) from the University of Cologne, along with visiting professorships at institutions like the University of Oxford and McGill University.

Reihlen’s research focuses on corporate and digital entrepreneurship, strategic management in professional services, qualitative meta-studies, and the philosophy of management. Key contributions include frameworks for strategic venturing, organizational failure analysis, and audit quality models. He has authored/co-edited 10 books, including the Handbook on the Philosophy of Management, and publishes in top journals like Journal of Management Studies.

His awards include eight Best Paper Awards and the Gold Star Teaching Award.
