Marko Simendić

Marko Simendić is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade. His academic career spans roles as a teaching assistant, demonstrator, and editor-in-chief of the journal Synthesis.

• Master's in Political Philosophy (University of York, 2009) and Political Analytics and Management (University of Belgrade, 2009)

His research focuses on political philosophy, history of political thought, and constitutionalism. Articles explore Thomas Hobbes's theories, legal personhood, gender in political philosophy, and religious controversies. Recent publications emphasize interdisciplinary analysis of sovereignty, representation, and ethical frameworks in political theory.

Scientific awards include the Geoffrey Heselton Prize for best master's thesis in political philosophy. He has contributed to projects like Constitutionalism and the rule of law in nation-state building and participated in conferences such as the Third Central and Eastern European Forum for Young Legal Theorists.
