Profile
Markku Rummukainen is a Professor in Climatology at Lund University and Associated Professor (docent) in Meteorology at the University of Helsinki. He also serves as Climate Advisor at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI). His research focuses on developing and applying advanced climate models to understand global and regional climate systems, with contributions to IPCC assessments and Swedish climate policy. He has coordinated major national climate research programs and engaged in UN climate negotiations since 2000.
