Mark Thompson

Mark Thompson is an Adjunct Professor affiliated with Trinity College Dublin and serves as the leader of the Hay Group’s reward and benefits practice for the UK and Ireland. He holds a degree in medieval and modern history from the University of Birmingham and has over three decades of professional experience in human resources and management consulting.

His career began at the Bank of England Printing Works as an Industrial Relations Assistant before advancing through roles at Volkswagen, Telecom Eireann (now Eir), and the Hay Group. Thompson specializes in remuneration strategies, benefits management, and organizational consulting, particularly in the context of regulatory changes and corporate restructuring.

He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and has extensive international experience, including consulting in India. His expertise spans workforce development, labor economics, and strategic human resource management across various industries.
