Mark Schroeder

Mark Schroeder is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Southern California, specializing in metaethics, normative ethics, and the philosophy of language and mind. His research explores the relationship between evaluative categories like rationality and value with the physical world, questioning the nature of normative facts and the role of language in their representation.

His work is organized into four strands: expressivism, the Humean theory of reasons, agent-neutrality, and the philosophy of interpersonal conflict. He has authored three influential books and numerous articles in top-tier journals.
