Mark Sanderson

Mark Sanderson is a Professor of Information Retrieval and Dean of Research & Innovation at RMIT University's STEM College. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow (1997). His career includes pioneering work in information retrieval evaluation, notably co-founding the imageCLEF campaign in 2003 and serving as general chair for major conferences like SIGIR and CIKM. Research focuses on search engine effectiveness, recommender systems, and urban mobility solutions.
