Mark S. Litwin is Professor and Chair of the Department of Urology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He also holds appointments in health policy & management and nursing, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to healthcare. Trained at Harvard, Dr. Litwin specializes in testicular, bladder, prostate and kidney cancer, with a particular focus on improving quality of care, quality of life, and equitable access to care in urologic oncology.
Dr. Litwin's research spans multiple domains including Health Care Access, Health Care Quality, Quality-of-life Measurement, Medical Outcomes Research, Health Policy, Resource Utilization, Medical Decision Making, and the Epidemiologic Burden of Illness of Urologic Diseases. His clinical work spans multiple UCLA-affiliated medical centers including Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center.
