Mark Michalski

Dr. Mark Michalski is a Lecturer at The Catholic University of America's Busch School of Business and teaches at the University of Maryland University College (UMUC). His expertise spans Strategy, Management, Operations, Entrepreneurship, and International Relations. He has held roles as Visiting Professor at the Polish American Business School and taught in Poland's Jagiellonian University and Warsaw Polytechnic's Executive MBA program during Poland's economic transformation in the 1990s.

Dr. Michalski's education includes a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and International Relations from Jagiellonian University, an MBA from Southeastern University, and advanced studies in economics and public policy at The Catholic University of America and George Washington University. His work includes consulting for the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and UNDP, focusing on infrastructure, energy projects, governance, and procurement reform.

His research interests emphasize global financial institutions, university management in a globalized world, entrepreneurship in transitional economies, and cross-border policy challenges. His publications analyze themes like post-crisis recovery mechanisms, university governance, and youth entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Dr. Michalski served as editor and board member of the Washington Institute of China Studies (2006–2011, 2014). His professional experience spans Europe, the Former Soviet Bloc, the Middle East, Africa, and China, with a focus on institutional development and economic transformation.
