Professor Mark Logan is a Professor in Practice at the University of Glasgow's School of Computing Science, working part-time while maintaining his primary role in industry. He serves as Chief Entrepreneurial Advisor to the Scottish Government and a Senior Enterprise Fellow at the University of Strathclyde. With nearly 30 years of leadership in internet technology, particularly in start-ups and scale-ups, he co-led Skyscanner’s high-growth phase as COO. He teaches the COMPSCI4087 Start-up Growth Engineering course.
His work with the Scottish Government includes producing influential reports like the Scottish Technology Ecosystem Review and Pathways: A new approach for women in entrepreneurship, both adopted and implemented by the government.
