Dr. Mark Liu Sirkin is an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Associate Dean of the School of Health Professions at Long Island University (LIU), where he currently serves as Interim Program Director of the PsyD program. He has held academic appointments at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology (Yeshiva University), and Mercy College, where he served as Director of the Mental Health Counseling Program and Associate Dean of the School of Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. Sirkin earned his PhD and MA in Clinical Psychology from the University of Connecticut and a BS from Boston University. His training followed the Scientist-Practitioner Boulder Model, with a clinical internship at the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services. He also completed a post-doctoral certificate in Organizational Development and Consultation from the William Alanson White Institute.
His research and professional interests span clinical psychology, family and group therapy, consulting psychology, systems theory, mindfulness, neuroscience, narrative psychology, and cyber-psychology. He has developed national recognition in consulting to family businesses and law firms, and is a Fellow of the Society of Consulting Psychology (APA Division 13).

He currently oversees 37 full-time and 72 adjunct faculty at LIU’s School of Health Professions.
