Dr. Mark Jones is an Associate Professor at the School of Architecture, Design and Planning, University of Queensland. With over 35 years in architectural practice, including leadership roles at Mark Jones Architects and Architectus, he transitioned to academia post-2015. His expertise bridges industry and academia, focusing on design, professional practice, and sustainable urban development.
Education includes a PhD in energy justice at University College London (2020), a Master of Sustainable Urban Development from Oxford (2017), and part-time Masters in Management (2005) and Business (2015). His research examines energy inequities in informal settlements, notably in Dhaka’s slums.
