Dr Mark Hammond is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Research Lead at the Manchester School of Architecture, affiliated with Manchester Metropolitan University. His research investigates the intersections between architecture and urban ageing, focusing on housing inequality, spatial justice, and participatory design methodologies. Hammond collaborates extensively with local government and communities, including a two-year secondment at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (2018-2021) and ongoing projects like Co-creating Age-Friendly Social Housing (2022-2025).
