Mark Gilmore

Mark Gilmore is a Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of New Mexico (UNM), part of the School of Engineering. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UCLA (1999). His research focuses on plasma physics, plasma diagnostics, fusion energy, pulsed power, and high-energy-density physics. Gilmore has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and secured $2.8 million as Principal Investigator in grants.

Education: PhD, UCLA (1999); MS, Northeastern University (1992); BS, Boston University (1986). Teaching includes courses such as Plasma Physics, Electrodynamics, and Microwave Engineering with consistently high student evaluations.
