Mark Giampapa

Mark Giampapa is a Research Professor at Steward Observatory, University of Arizona. His research focuses on solar and stellar magnetic activity, exoplanet detection/characterization, and infrared sensor characterization. He is a member of the Alien Earths research group.

Research Interests:

• Investigating magnetic activity cycles in stars and their impacts on exoplanet habitability
• Developing methods to characterize exoplanets using stellar activity indicators
• Advancing infrared sensor technology for astronomical applications
