Mark Ewing is an Associate Professor and Director of the Flight Research Laboratory at the University of Kansas, Department of Aerospace Engineering.

His research focuses on structural vibrations of high-performance aerospace structures and aircraft structural acoustics, particularly interior noise reduction. Current projects include NSF Science & Technology Center grants related to ice sheet remote sensing, NASA EPSCoR grants for composite bonded repair, and NASA LEARN grants for UAV sense-and-avoid radar systems.
Recent projects include Spirit AeroSystems grants for damping estimation in aircraft structures and Transportation Research Institute seed grants for acoustic test facilities.
