Dr. Mark Cleveland is the Dancap Private Equity Chair in Consumer Behavior and a Full Professor of Marketing at the DAN Department of Management and Organizational Studies, University of Western Ontario. He holds a PhD in Marketing from Concordia University and has taught at institutions including HEC-Montréal and Kedge Business School. His research focuses on globalization, cross-cultural consumer behavior, and the intersection of identity and consumption. He has authored over 100 publications and holds a SSHRC Insight Grant studying mixed ethnic identity.
**Education:** PhD (2006), M.Sc. (2000), B.Com. (1994) from Concordia University. His academic roles include Associate Editor of the International Marketing Review and former Director of the Migration and Ethnic Relations program.
**Research Interests:** Globalization's impact on identity, materialism, pro-environmental behavior, and social media's role in identity formation. His work spans 22 countries and has been featured in The New York Times and Forbes.
