Specializing in historical painting techniques and conservation methodologies, Mr. Aronson employs advanced technical analysis—including X-radiography, XRF spectroscopy, and infrared imaging—to investigate artworks. His landmark project conserving 'An Allegory of the Tudor Succession' required collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art due to the painting's complex construction.
His distinguished fellowships comprise:

- National Museum Act Fellowship at Cincinnati Art Museum
Leading the Conservation department's dual studios (paintings and works on paper) and imaging facility, Mr. Aronson integrates technical research with Yale's educational mission through training programs for emerging conservators, public workshops, and scholarly publications that advance conservation science.
