Mark Allan Goldberg is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Houston's College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. His research examines race, health, and colonization in border regions, particularly the Texas-Mexico borderlands. He holds a PhD from University of Wisconsin-Madison and has received multiple teaching awards including the Teaching Excellence Provost Core Award.
Current research explores Jewish Latina/o/x identity in Cuba and Miami. Goldberg directs oral history projects including the Sephardic Latinx Oral History Project in partnership with Holocaust Museum Houston.
