Professor Marjory Harper is a Visiting Professor at the UHI Centre for History, specializing in Scottish diaspora studies, migration patterns, and oral history. Her work bridges historical analysis with contemporary social issues, particularly migration's psychosocial impacts. She has authored multiple award-winning monographs including Scotland No More? (2012, Frank Watson Prize) and Adventurers and Exiles (2003, Saltire History Prize).
