Marjorie Rycroft

Professor Marjorie Rycroft is an Honorary Professorial Research Fellow in Music at the School of Culture & Creative Arts and Honorary Professorial Research Fellow in Scottish Literature at the School of Critical Studies, University of Glasgow. Her research focuses on 18th-19th century musicology, particularly the works of composers like Joseph Haydn, Carl Maria von Weber, and Ignaz Pleyel. She specializes in the edition of historical folksong arrangements and their cultural context, with a strong emphasis on Robert Burns's songs and Scottish/Welsh musical traditions.
