Marius Stachowski

Marius Stachowski is a Researcher and Research Assistant at the Chair of Church and Theological History, Faculty I (Protestant Theology), University of Siegen. He has been actively involved in academic research since 2020, contributing to projects on church history in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) and currently serves as a research assistant under Prof. Dr. Veronika Albrecht-Birkner.

He also studied German and European Business Law (2012–2013) before shifting focus to theology and history.

Since 2020, he has been a research associate on the project 'Discrimination against Christians in the GDR using the example of construction soldiers in the 1960s' at the University of Jena, led by Prof. Dr. Christopher Spehr. His current position at the University of Siegen since 2023 continues this line of inquiry with institutional and historical depth.
