Marius Funk is a Research Assistant at the Chair for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence within the Faculty of Applied Computer Science at the University of Augsburg. His work focuses on conversational AI, nonverbal behavior, cultural comparisons, engagement prediction, and multimodal interfaces.
In 2024, he co-authored a study creating the NoXi+J corpus to analyze cross-cultural non-verbal cues in multilingual dyadic interactions. This research aligns with his interests in understanding how cultural characteristics influence human-agent engagement.
