Marit Rehavi is an Associate Professor at the Vancouver School of Economics, University of British Columbia. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Scholar in Health Policy Research at the University of Michigan. Her research examines expert decision-making in medicine, criminal law, and employment systems, with a focus on discretion and bias.
Her primary research interests include:
- Racial disparities in criminal sentencing and prosecutorial behavior
- Physician decision-making in childbirth and healthcare incentives
- Gender dynamics in labor markets and political representation
- Socioeconomic impacts of policy changes in health and justice systems
