Marissa A. Sharif is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on consumer motivation, judgment and decision making, and goal dynamics, with applications to organizational behavior and behavioral economics.
She holds a PhD in Marketing from the UCLA Anderson School of Business and a BS in Psychobiology from UCLA. Her work has been published in top-tier journals such as the Journal of Marketing Research and Psychological Science.
Her recent research on "streak incentives" demonstrates how consecutive task completion can enhance productivity and goal commitment in organizational settings. This work intersects psychology, economics, and marketing theory.
