Marisol Marroquin

Marisol Marroquín is a Guatemalan-American first-generation PhD and clinical social worker with a focus on mental health equity and intersectionality in Latinx communities. Currently a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow at Rutgers University, Newark, she combines her clinical experience with academic research to address systemic disparities and promote community resilience.

Her research employs critical frameworks to analyze how intersectional identities affect health outcomes, particularly among Latinx individuals with autism and formerly homeless populations. Recent work explores housing transitions, autism diagnosis disparities, and longitudinal effects of parent education programs. She has received numerous awards, including the ASU JEDI Spotlight Award and the Association of Latina & Latino Social Work Educators Grand Challenges Doctoral Award.
