Marisol Koslowski

Marisol Koslowski is the Associate Dean for Global Engineering Programs and Partnerships and a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. She leads initiatives in global engineering education and partnerships while maintaining an active research portfolio. Her academic affiliations include the Mechanical Engineering Department and the Global Engineering Program (GEP).

Her research focuses on computational mechanics of advanced materials, with emphasis on energetic materials, nanocrystalline metals, and failure mechanisms under extreme conditions. Key areas include phase field modeling, dislocation dynamics, and multiscale simulations of material behavior under shock, thermal, and mechanical loading.

Recent work spans topics like interface delamination in HMX/HTPB composites, electromigration in solder joints, and fracture mechanics of energetic materials. Her studies often bridge microstructural analysis with macroscopic failure predictions using advanced computational frameworks.

Dr. Koslowski holds leadership roles in engineering education policy and international collaboration at Purdue. She is affiliated with the Engineering Leadership Team and Engineering Cabinet, contributing to strategic initiatives in academic administration.
