Marion Thuswald

Marion Thuswald serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Education in the Arts at Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, specializing in pedagogical frameworks for visual arts education. Her current teaching responsibilities for Winter Semester 2025 include three core courses examining reading/discussion practices and practice-oriented research methodologies.

Her research interests focus on:

• Developing critical discussion frameworks in arts education
• Navigating tensions in practice-oriented research
• Arts pedagogy implementation in higher education
• Bachelor thesis supervision within discussion-based curricula
