Mario Tenuta

Dr. Mario Tenuta is a Senior Industrial Research Chair in 4R Nutrient Management and Professor of Soil Ecology at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences. His research focuses on soil ecology, nematology, and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural systems. He leads the Applied Soil Ecology Lab, conducting impactful studies on nutrient management, soil health, and crop-nematode interactions. Dr. Tenuta holds a PhD from the University of Western Ontario and has held the Canada Research Chair in Applied Soil Ecology (2006–2017).
