Mario Rodenas

Mario Rodenas, MD is an Assistant Professor at Yale School of Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Allergy & Immunology. He serves as Director of the Clinical Elective in Allergy & Immunology for Medical Students. His clinical expertise spans recurrent infections, chronic hives, drug allergies (notably penicillin), and food allergies. He holds board certification in Allergy & Immunology since 2010.

Education: MD from University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine (2004), BS from University of Puerto Rico (2000). Residency at Baystate Medical Center/Tufts University (2007), Fellowship at SUNY Downstate (2010).

Research focuses on allergy/immunology diagnostics and treatments, including biologics and immunoglobulin therapies. Notable contributions include penicillin allergy delabeling initiatives and expanding allergy services in Connecticut locations.

Recognitions include membership in the Clinical Immunology Society’s National Award (2014). Active in medical education, he advocates for culturally competent care and has expanded clinical services in Bridgeport, Milford, and North Haven.
