Mario Michaelides serves as Vice Dean of Education and Reader (Education) in Games Design at Brunel University London, based in the Department of Digital Arts - Games within the School of Arts and Humanities (College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences). With 19 years of academic experience, he leads teaching initiatives across Games Design and Development, holding key roles including Director of Teaching & Learning for Arts & Humanities and Games Design (Technology) Route Leader.
His research focuses on Games Design, UI & UX Prototyping, Immersive Technologies, and Game-Based Learning/Serious Games. Currently pursuing a PhD investigating how game fidelity impacts learning experiences, he bridges interactive technology with educational innovation through commercial consulting projects and academic leadership.
