Mario Marconi

Dr. Mario Marconi is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Colorado State University. He previously served as Associate Professor (2001-2004) and Assistant Professor (1992-2000) in the Department of Physics at Buenos Aires University and was a member of the Argentinean National Research Council (CONICET) from 1992 to 2004.

Research Interests: Dr. Marconi specializes in EUV and soft x-ray lasers, with applications in high-resolution imaging, holography, and optical nanopatterning. His work has advanced compact soft x-ray laser technology for table-top coherent lithography and interferometry.

Professional Service: Dr. Marconi has held leadership roles in optical societies, including chairing the Denver IEEE-LEOS Chapter (2006-2008), serving as Associate Editor for the IEEE Photonics Journal (2011-2017), and co-chairing the International Conference on X-Ray Lasers (Colorado, 2014). He has participated in organizing committees for major conferences and editorial boards.
