Mario Lackner

Mario Lackner is a Post-Doc researcher at the Department of Economics, Kurt Rothschild School of Economics and Statistics (RoSES) at Johannes Kepler University Linz. He holds a Mag. Dr. degree and maintains an active research and teaching profile within the university's economics department.

His research interests span Applied Microeconometrics, Organizational Economics, Personnel Economics, Sports Economics, Industrial Economics, Competition Policy, and Public Finance. Dr. Lackner employs natural experiments and field data to investigate behavioral patterns in economic decision-making, with particular focus on gender differences, risk behavior, and performance dynamics in organizational and sports contexts.

His publication record shows a consistent output of high-quality research in top economics journals, with recent work examining topics such as gender dynamics in coaching, pandemic spread through mass gatherings, team coordination challenges, and risk-taking behaviors.
