Marilyn H. Oermann, PhD, RN, ANEF, FAAN is the Thelma M. Ingles Professor of Nursing at Duke University School of Nursing, where she leads the Nursing Education major and directs evaluation and educational research. Her scholarship focuses on teaching and evaluation in nursing, including CPR competence studies and simulation-based high-stakes testing.

Dr. Oermann is an acclaimed author/editor of 19 award-winning books and over 160 peer-reviewed articles. She serves as editor for Nurse Educator and Journal of Nursing Care Quality, and previously edited six volumes of the Annual Review of Nursing Education.
