Marika Ravin

Marika Ravin is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Cairn University, where she has taught Linguistics and Language Learning, English Grammar and Pronunciation, and Foundations of Teaching Language Learners since 2017. Her academic work focuses on TESOL, Educational Linguistics, and language pedagogy.

• Education: MSEd in TESOL (Lehman College), BA in Sociology (Rutgers University), EdD in Educational Linguistics (University of Pennsylvania)

Her research interests emphasize effective strategies for teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language and cross-cultural communication. Ravin has professional experience spanning kindergarten to graduate education and has lived on three continents, enriching her cultural perspective. She also presented on human trafficking in Korea at Sungkyunkwan University in 2013.
