Marieke de Jong is a visual artist and Lecturer at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in the Netherlands. She holds a Master of Fine Art from the Sandberg Institute (2011) and dual Bachelor degrees in Autonomous Spatial Design and Fine Arts Teacher Training from ArtEZ. Since 2013, she has served as a Time Surfing instructor and trainer at ArtEZ, focusing on time management techniques rooted in Zen philosophy. Notably, she was nominated for the prestigious Prix de Rome in 2013.
Her professional contributions include curating selections from ArtEZ's Studium Generale archive alongside Heike Rowold, emphasizing themes of time, creativity, and contemplative practice.
