Dr. Marie-Luce Paris is Associate Professor in Law at UCD Sutherland School of Law and Director of the UCD Centre for Human Rights. A comparative constitutional law expert, she holds a PhD from University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and completed legal training at the Ecole D'Avocats Du Barreau De La Cour D'Appel De Paris.
Her research examines constitutional systems, human rights frameworks, and European public law through comparative methodologies. She has held visiting positions at UC Davis School of Law and Australian National University. Recognized for promoting Franco-Irish legal education, she was awarded France's Ordre des Palmes Académiques.
She teaches Comparative Constitutional Law, ECHR Law, and French Public Law while supervising PhD candidates in public law and human rights. She has published in leading journals including Yearbook of European Law and German Law Journal.
