About
Dr. Marie-Lara Bouffaud is a Scientist in the Department of Soil Ecology at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ. Her research investigates molecular plant-microbe interactions and the effects of biotic and abiotic stresses on clonal oak trees within the TrophinOak/PhytOakmeter research platforms.
As part of the PhytOakmeter project, she examines holobiont acclimation and adaptation mechanisms of long-lived forest trees to ecological variations and climate change through transcriptome analysis. Her work contributes to understanding how trees adapt to environmental stressors through microbial interactions.
