Dr. Marie Huber is a researcher at Humboldt University of Berlin's Department of Social and Economic History. She specializes in global economic history with a focus on postcolonial Africa, examining transnational knowledge circulation, economic expectations, and development paradigms. Her current projects include a DFG-funded study on aviation history (Air Afrique) and research on German trade relations with Africa/Asia under the Collaborative Research Center 'Dynamics of Security'.
Her research explores:

- UNESCO heritage politics and cultural tourism
